Do you want to learn how to fold a paper heart? Stick one on the corner of a card for portable love or use it as a book mark. Artist Rachel Hazell shows us how to do this. ‘Make a quick origami heart to share some paper love.’
All you need patterned paper and scissors, that’s all!
Divide page into three strips.
Fold each strip in half lengthways.
Pinch the strip in half to mark the middle.
With the creased edge closest to you, fold one side up ninety degrees.
Then fold up the other side to meet in the middle.
Flip over and fold the tops down a third.
Finally fold in tiny triangles to shape your heart.
Experiment with proportions, try different papers en make different sizes – as long as the width is roughly half the height.
