ABCyou Bed & Breakfast in Valencia (Spain)

We have been collecting all the best getaway venues: B&Bs, hotels and other places to stay. All great destinations for a weekend away or a bit longer. This B&B, run by a Dutch couple, combines traditional Spanish elements with hip and trendy stuff.

Special features
This lovely B&B lies in the heart of Valencia and is the perfect base for exploring the city. It is run by Wouter and Daphne, a young Dutch couple that made the decision to exchange Utrecht for the sunny south. They have made ABCyou Bed & Breakfast a very special place where you can count on a warm reception. Their authentic Spanish house has twelve rooms which are all different, combining traditional tile floors with modern, hip details. Start the day with a tasty breakfast and end the day with a sundowner in the courtyard.

What’s for breakfast
On weekdays, the locals also use the breakfast room as a coffee bar. You get a complete breakfast with a new twist every day. Fresh fruit from the local Ruzafa market, home-baked goodies and fresh ground coffee.

Our tip
Explore Ruzafa, the new up and coming neighborhood around the corner from ABCyou!

Good food
Our personal favorite is Canalla Bistro (www.canallabistro.com) of star chef Ricard Camarena, just at the end of the street. The bistro shares a kitchen with the Michelin star restaurant, and you can tell. Do make a reservation.

Good to know
Visit Valencia on the last Wednesday of August for the annual Tomatina (tomato fights).

Price per night: starts at  € 39 per room, excluding breakfast. If you book via ABCyou’s own site, there will be a complimentary bottle of cava waiting for you when you arrive.
