Family House in Limburg

We’re gathering the addresses of the best B&Bs, hotels and other overnight locations we can find. All of which, we feel, are great places to go for a weekend or a bit longer. At Bed & Botram Bie Os in Thorn – known as “the white village” – in Limburg, you’ll be staying in a beautifully decorated family home.

What makes Bed & Botram Bie Os a great place to stay?
The Limburg hospitality and the small white village of Thorn. Jo and Jolanda are wonderfully warm people. Their family home is decorated in such a lovely way, and everything has a story behind it. Jo has a passion for royal memorabilia, which she often purchased on Queen’s Day in Amsterdam. In one of the rooms, you’ll find a beautiful statue of Juliana. In another room, there’s a collection of framed lace and doilies. Some guests also bring something of themselves, little treasures, which they believe really fits in the house.

What’s for breakfast?
Wake up nice and slow with the small of fresh bread, from the “Joost bakery.” And in the summer, there’s homemade jam to spread on it. Breakfast differs slightly every day, so if you’re there for a longer period of time, it never gets boring.

Our tip
Rent a sailboat from Sailcenter in Kinrooi – the surroundings are beautiful. And eat at De Hoeskamer, an eetcafe (typical Dutch bistro) where you can enjoy a deliciously simple cheese sandwich amidst paintings hanging everywhere.

A room for two at Bed & Botram Bie Os costs from €84 per night, including breakfast. A baby cot and children’s bed are also available.
