Special features
Dennenoord is located in the beautiful landscape of northeast Twente, a stone’s throw from the historic town of Ootmarsum. The seven ‘Hansel and Gretel’ cottages are attractively decorated with fine wallpapers, plaid pillows, floral crockery, and little paintings. The cottages have names like Red Robin (Roodborst) and Finch (Vink). The grounds contain a cute playground with a fun tree house.
Our tip
The German border is only three kilometers away. Nearby towns like Lingen and Bad Bentheim make a great destination for a day trip across the border.
Good food
On the grounds you’ll find the best teahouse in the province of Overijssel, famous for its original Afternoon Tea and High Tea. Behind the teahouse is a lovely restaurant. Here in ‘The Barn’ you can eat out on the verandah.

There is also a teashop on site where you buy tea, jam and tableware as well as trendy interior stuff.
