Stick to the plan

Plan

When it comes to setting goals, it seems prudent to have a backup plan if things don’t go as intended, right?

Wrong. Research by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, US, challenges that conventional wisdom and finds that merely thinking through a ‘Plan B’ creates a sense of security that can cause us to work less hard and hamper our chances for success. Instead, it’s better to be more strategic about when to make our Plan B and to do everything possible to achieve our goal first.
