Tranquil Ibiza: 3 places

ibiza

For those who like to stay away from the masses and prefer to seek out the peaceful, here are three ‘quiet’ areas in Ibiza.

Even though we’re big fans of trips to the larger cities and places in Europe, we’re also well aware of the fact that, because of the numerous other tourists and an often-tight schedule, these kinds of trips aren’t always synonymous with relaxation. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of areas per country / island that are much calmer. This time: the quiet Ibiza.

South: Ses Salines Natural Park

Ibiza is mainly known for its beautiful sandy beaches and coastal towns where you can dance until the early hours. If you are in need of a quiet (beach) walk in nature, then the Ses Salines Natural Park in the south is just the place. You will find salt lakes and long beaches here, as well as several hiking trails with beautiful views.

East: Sant Carles de Peralta

This quiet village on the north-east of Ibiza has a white church, some bars and a number of shops. Juts down the road is the famous Las Dalias hippy market, which you can visit every Monday, Tuesday and Sunday in the summer.

North: San Miguel and San Juan

The north of Ibiza boasts plenty of quiet, authentic villages without the mass tourism. Two that are particularly recommended are San Miguel and San Juan.
