One of our favs to make: the new Book for Paper Lovers. A book with (almost) no text, just paper. We collaborated with a large team of illustrators from all around the world, and this week we will introduce you to four of the main designers. Today it’s Bodil’s turn.
Illustrator Bodil Jane (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) describes her work as feminine, playful and rich in color. For this book she made patterns of French flowers. She was inspired by lacy dresses, vintage French decorating books, old wallpaper samples, nature books with floral collages, landscape paintings and old photographs of tropical destinations. Bodil’s paper passion: “Alongside my illustration work, I like to make collages from torn pieces of colored paper and drawings of my own patterns.”
