Daylio: an app to track your mood

Daylio

Documenting emotions on a daily basis helps us understand how our emotional states vary with thoughts, behaviors and experiences. If you don’t have the time, desire or memory to write ‘Dear Diary’ entries every night, you can always opt for a quick and easy app such as Daylio.

Every day, a reminder pops up asking you how your day was. Your response? Simply pick your mood, select activities that you have done and – for the old-school ‘Dear Diary’ fans out there – add notes. The app compiles the recorded moods and activities into two forms of graphs and a calendar, giving you clear overviews of patterns, which can help you see negative behaviors and create useful habits to become more productive and positive.
